Japanese Fine-Dining Restaurant Job Reference Share (2017 HKPIDA Open Competition Finalist Works)

Sakuragi Omakase, a Japanese fine-dining restaurant in Wan Chai (Hong Kong) reached out to Legend Tech for its lighting / dimming project. The customer wants to have the light shining on the table top and focus only on the food, but not affecting the diners.  After tried multiple products in the market, the customer found frequent product failure either with the LED light, Dimmer, or Drivers, which the replacement work has been a very annoying experience.

As restricted by the available space in the electrical box, it's necessary to have a single LED dimmer to dim 8 x 7W dimmable LED MR16 bulbs simultaneously. During our field visit, we've learned the customer's requirement and done some actual tests in the restaurant. In order to keep the installation work to the minimal, we recommended a simple narrow-beam angle LED MR16 bulb solution with one of the 12V electronic transformers that we used in our demo video.

With less than HK$ 2,500 on the material costs (including the Dimmer, and 8 sets of Electronic-Transformer and Dimmable LED bulb), the result met the restaurant's need. In the kitchen electrical box, the DZ2G450DIAL is installed with the standard On/Off button into the Schneider-Clipsal compatible switch plate (top left).

From our customer visit after the installation, the customer has feedback positively with the end-result. Helping clients to solve their problems is our way to business success, if there are LED dimming questions, please feel free to inquiry us (
