Besides energy saving, controllability is the next highly expected feature of LED Lighting over Traditional Lighting. However, such a control aspect seems to be missing in daily applications. Since 2015, we've been developing & marketing Phase Dimmers* and related products to address LED dimming control

Driven by our project field experience, we developed a new type of Tunable White control using Phase Dimming & 0-10V technologies, which gives our Tunable White Controller (DZ1G300TUNE) & Dynamic Lighting Controllers (DZ2G300TUNE_TOGG / _PUSH). It's our goal to lower the technical and costs barriers for different Circadian Lighting or Commercial applications that desire Multi-Purpose Lighting.

LED Phase Dimming using Dynamic Lighting Controller

In this video, we shared how to use our Dynamic Lighting Controller for LED Dimming. Although our Controller is designed for Tunable White Control, it can be used for phase dimming applications.
Since only a single toggle switch is required for dimming control, we used our single-channel solid aluminum alloy faceplate (SKU # LCNC-TG03-1S_SV) with the DZ2G300TUNE_TOGG controller in this video.
To demonstrate different functions available, we continue to use the SORAA® vivid™ MR16 LED lamp & the optima™ 12V electronic transformer as the lighting fixture to show the basic operations, scene-setting & Minimum Brightness Memory-setting.
In terms of connecting the Controller and the faceplate, our suggestion is to use a LAN cable, out of which we can use only 4 leads (DIM+, DIM-, GROUND, & CCT-). While the DIM+, DIM- & GROUND are used in normal operations, the CCT- terminal is only required to be shorted to GROUND momentarily during the Minimum Brightness Memory setting mode.

Therefore, our suggestion is to use a Normal Open Tact Switch hidden inside the backbox that enables us to enter the memory setting mode when needed. As soon as the Tact Switch is released, the Minimum Brightness Memory
Besides the single toggle switch interface shown in this video, 2-gang faceplates are often required in Residential and Commercial applications, which is also possible with our solution.
